Winter Wonderland; From Concept to Exhibit

Tettegouche Visitor’s Center at Tettegouche State Park

January 30-February 3

Lake Superior in winter is beyond compare, without a doubt it is the best light of the year. Winter Wonderland; From Concept to Fine Art  is a unique workshop that gives the participant experience from concept through exhibition. This workshop will allow participants to fully develop a theme in their work, in addition participants will post process, print, and frame two final images at 20×27 inch finished size. During the 4 day workshop participants will have opportunities to photograph, edit, print, and prepare for the exhibit of their work. Instruction will include post processing techniques, editing your test prints, making the final fine art print, matting, framing, frame  assembly, and how to sequence and hang an exhibit. The workshop will culminate with the hanging of 20 framed images (2 images per participant)  in the Visitor’s Center Art Display Gallery. These images will be displayed until March 1, 2019 when the exhibit will be celebrated with a closing event. During the closing event participants will share their experiences with the general public during a formal presentation of the work and question and answer session. Guest instructor Christian Dalbec will assist with this workshop.

Workshop fee includes instruction tuition, numerous test prints (8.5x11inches) and 2 finished archival framed fine art prints 20×27 inches in size. The finished framed photographs are the property of the participant and available for pickup at either the Tettegouche Visitor’s Center following the closing event on March 2, 2018,  or at ColdSnap Photography Studio upon availability. (We will ship finished framed images if you provide packing material and pay for the shipping and handling costs.)
