If you like to photograph waterfalls then you’ll love the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Bond Falls, Lake Of The Clouds, Presque Isle, Laughing Whitefish Falls,Potawatomi Falls, there are more than 300 waterfalls in the UP of Michigan, making it a premier location for waterfall photography. Our photographic locations will accommodate a wide range of physical abilities. Most locations do not require extensive physical exertion if not desired. One-on-one instruction throughout the tour will be provided and group and/or individual reviews of work will be offered too.
Instruction
This workshop is primarily a field shooting workshop. While there are no classroom sessions I am engaging you in one on one tutorials and instruction in the field. My primary emphasis while in the field is to make sure that you are able to get awesome images.
Topics of instruction in the field include:, camera technique, proper metering for proper exposure, how to read histograms, composition for impact, filtering for water motion effects, waterfall and landscape photography techniques, and much more.
Itinerary
The workshop will begin on October 2 at 3:00 pm in Ontenogon Michigan.
There is not a fixed itinerary for each day as our locations and times will vary somewhat depending upon the light and atmospheric conditions. We will start each day early and typically shoot late into the evening. There will be time for rest during the mid-day if needed.
The workshop ends on the morning of October 6 near Munising Michigan.
Location
Michigan Upper Peninsula. The workshop will begin near Ironwood Michigan and conclude near Pictured Rocks. For those who are including transportation, we will begin and complete our tour in Minneapolis Minnesota. The specific rendezvous point in Minneapolis will be in South Minneapolis, the address will be provided upon registration. In some cases, we may be able to coordinate a specific pick-up spot if it is along the route.

A nonRefundable Deposit of $200 will hold your registration until 60 days prior to the workshop when the balance is due.

Includes guided tours, and admission fees to scheduled special attractions. Meals and hotel accommodations are not included. A list of hotels where we have rooms blocked will be provided upon registration.
Transportation: $300.00 this option is limited to 4 participants.
Transportation from South Minneapolis to the UP and throughout the workshop and return to South Minneapolis. Transport is in a Chevy Suburban or equivalent with no more than 4 passengers plus one driver.
If you are flying in from out of state contact us prior to your reservations, we will work with you to help you arrange your flights, any hotel accommodations needed prior to or post-workshop.
